  Watching The Ball

Are You Really Watching the Ball?

We often hear it and say it so many times. “Watch the ball.” We often take that phrase for granted. We all think we know how to watch the ball. How tough can it be to watch the ball? Instead, next time you are out on the court try to track the ball instead of trying to watch the ball. Track the ball as it leaves your racket. Track it as it bounces on the other side and as it leaves your opponent’s racket. Try to even see what sort of spin or if you can even pick up any writing (brand name) on the ball as it approaches back to you. Most likely you won’t be able to see the writing on the ball at a fast pace rally, but before you know it your eyes will be on the ball
