Three Easy Tennis Techniques to Improve Your Game

The game of tennis is all about technique --- both mentally and physically. These techniques will ultimately determine how well a player you become and how well you are able to master the game. Here are some of the more common physical tennis techniques that players employ to help improve upon their game:

• If you have a speedy serve, make sure that you decrease the length of your return swing. If you decrease the backswing, it increases the likelihood that you will hit the ball because the timing is much simpler.

• When you are hitting flatter, you are more likely to increase ball
contact; however, if you are conducting a one-handed backhand return shot, slice it with a short backswing and you will have a combination of both good control and a better chance of contact with the ball.

• When you are coming to the net behind the return, try to approach the line a bit closer to the center where the person you are playing might try to hit directly past you.

These quick and easy tennis techniques will not only help to improve your play, but will also help you to gain confidence in many of your shots, which can only serve to better your overall game.
