Hit Through the Contact Point

Do you have trouble with your follow through? Is your follow through too short? Are your shots constantly landing short? Try to hit through the contact point and reach out towards your target with your follow through before coming across the body. The following drill will help you achieve that. Stand on top of one of the singles side line while facing the net and practice your swing without the ball. Do the practice swing so that your follow through is moving in the same direction of the singles sideline towards the net. Make sure that your hitting hand is extended as far forward towards the net as you can before going across your body. Do this several times, and try to do the same follow through while hitting the ball.
