 FAQ
Can the Racket Bracket be used in a rally or a match situation?

No, the Racket Bracket is not intended to be used in a rally or match situation. It is intended to be used in a controlled environment where someone feeds balls to the player while the player works on one specific shot at a time. For example, have someone feeds you forehand volley.

What kind of stroke does the Racket Bracket work for?

The Racket Bracket works for volleys and groundstrokes, It does not work for Serve and Overhead.

How long do I need to use the Racket Bracket before I can see improvement?
It really depends on each player. We recommend using it for about 10-15 minutes at a time for each stroke. You should be able to feel the difference right away. The key is repetition to gain the correct feel and to build the correct “muscle memory”.

Does the Racket Bracket fit small children?
Yes, the Racket Bracket comes in one size fits all. It comes with different sizes of silicon grommets to fit different sizes of grips including small junior rackets. We’ve seen children as young as 8 years old using it.

Do I need to choke up on the grip to use the Racket Bracket?
Yes, you do need to hold the racket a little bit higher than normal. You need to have about 1 inch of the grip to be below the silicon grommet. The purpose is not to teach you how to hold the racket, but to get a feel of the correct stroke. If you have the correct stroke technique, the position of the wrist during the swing is the same whether you choke up on the racket or not. Think of it as playing with extra long racket versus a standard length racket or even with a junior racket. The swing fundamentals are still the same. Once, you get the correct feel of the stroke with the Racket Bracket, you can go back to the normal grip position and would still be able to produce the same swing. In fact, to learn how to volley, it is easier if you start by choking up the racket to gain better control and to reduce the swing size.

Does the Racket Bracket work for two handed backhand groundstroke?
Yes, the Racket Bracket works well for two handed backhand groundstroke. You want to place the device on your non dominant hand for this particular stroke. If you were a right handed player, then the device would be placed on the left hand. It is an excellent tool to help you work on hitting a left handed forehand which will help the two handed backhand tremendously because the left hand is the one doing most of the work for two handed backhand.

How do I change my grip when I have the Racket Bracket on?
You can change your grip by simply rotating the racket, except for two handed backhand in which the device is placed on the non dominant hand. It is recommended to loosen the strap and tighten it again when you change grip to get a good comfortable fit for the different grips.

Does the Racket Bracket work for serve and overhead?
No, the Racket Bracket is not intended to be used for serve and overhead. It is only intended to be used for volleys and groundstrokes.

What kind of grip size can I use with the Racket Bracket?
You can use the racket bracket with any size of grip from a small junior racket all the way to a standard 4 5/8 grip size. It comes with three different silicon grommets to fit the different grip sizes.

Can I use the Racket Bracket hitting against the wall?
No. It is not intended to be used in a rally situation. It is intended to be used in a controlled environment where someone feeds balls to the player while the player works on one specific shot at a time. For example, have someone feeds you forehand volley.
